I have attempted to preserve and restore the history of the Gulf Coast region. I have restored some of the lighthouses in Alabama and Mississippi, some of which no longer exist, except in the archives.
Since I'm not a native of this area, I depend a great deal on what I can find in old newspaper accounts, and official Coast Guard photos, along with accounts and descriptions from some of the local people. When someone would like a particular location illustrated, or subject illustrated, if they can give me a picture of the location, or a description of what they would like, I can research it. If the location is damaged or destroyed, I can usually restore the subject after research.
I can do landscapes, seascapes, and portraits along with other subjects. I try to preserve history as much as is possible, and bring a touch of beauty for people to enjoy in my paintings.
